100% Nebbiolo from estate parcels across Serralunga d’Alba.

Color:

Deep garnet with a bright, transparent core and hints of brick at the rim.

Nose:

Perfumed and complex: rose and violet over red cherry and raspberry, with notes of licorice, orange peel and subtle spice.

Flavor / Palate:

Elegant yet driven; ripe red fruit and floral tones carried by vibrant acidity and fine, chalk-edged tannins. Long, savory, mineral finish.

Winemaking:

Hand-harvested; destemmed and softly crushed. Fermentation in concrete for about 25 days with daily pump-overs and one délestage. Maturation 18–36 months in large 50-hl French oak botti (Fontainebleau forest), then bottle refinement.

Body & Style:

Full-bodied, dry, finely structured and age-worthy; classic Serralunga finesse with precision.

Description

Deep ruby red color with garnet hues. The nose is very elegant, complex notes of dark cocoa, ripe raspberry, plum and peppery hints. The sip is extremely polished, rich, well-structured and well balanced with smooth tannins and a long flavorful finish.
