Les Cretes

Les Crêtes is the leading family-owned estate of the Aosta Valley, founded in 1989 by Costantino Charrère and his wife Jolanda Plat. The Charrère family, originally from Savoy, has been rooted in Aymavilles since the mid-18th century, first as farmers and millers. In 1955 Antoine Charrère planted the first vineyards, and within a generation Les Crêtes became a pioneer of high-altitude viticulture in the region.
Today the estate is managed by Costantino’s daughters Elena and Eleonora, who continue to expand the reputation of Valle d’Aosta wines around the world. With about 30 hectares of vineyards across six villages, planted at altitudes between 600 and 1,000 meters on glacial and sandy soils, Les Crêtes practices what is known as “heroic viticulture” — hand-tended vines on steep mountain slopes.
The winery is known for both international varieties, especially the acclaimed Chardonnay Cuvée Bois, and for native grapes such as Petite Arvine, Fumin, Petit Rouge, Mayolet, and Cornalin. Their style balances alpine freshness, minerality, and precision with richness and depth, making Les Crêtes one of the most respected mountain wineries in Italy.
